I've got the premium 1 with the webbed fabric. I have gotten to like it so much that I use the webbed instead of linen. I use it as is. I have one of their felt strops with 0.5 diamond spray for my pasted strop. I like the way the spray applies better than the paste.
I would recommend using the un-pasted webbing
exactly how you would use linen or cotton.

Which is Webbed Nylon as a fabric strop, my other fabric strop is a seatbelt. Both things I had lying around. The belt works well, it's narrow, but all my strops (and stones, actually) are narrow.
You can get webbing for cheap at your local fabric store
I have the same strop, and I too was wondering what to do with the nylon webbing. It doesn't seem to have any draw to it at all. Maybe I need more blade pressure?:shrug:
Linen or webbing isn't going to have the same kind of resistance that a latigo leather strop will have. Different thing. Here is an excerpt from the 1961 barber manual in the SRP Wiki help files. The last two pages are devoted to stropping and a light touch is what you want on the webbed fabric or linen if you were using that.Quote:
