I've got some lengths of light blue leather, around 4mm thick and between 2&1/2 - 3 inches wide.
(Is light blue leather chrome tanned??)
Would this be ok for making a hanging strop? It would be pretty sturdy.
Cheers.

I don't think the color matters but the surface does.
It must be smooth.
What animal is it from?
I think its smooth.
I'm guessing it'll be cow leather.
So the main issue is that it is a smooth surface that can be kept flat?
In my opinion, yes.
I'm pretty sure this is chrome tanned leather - that shouldn't be an issue for stropping should it?? As long as surface is smooth?
