Flatbed Strop Base idea.....

I spent Sunday afternoon shopping for 3" wide tile to make leather and hard felt flatbed strops ( like I don't already have more than I need ).

While I was there, I found a 4" X 36 " X 1/2 " thick bathroom threshhold.
I cut this into 9" long pieces and now have 4 flatbed strop bases that are heavier than my tile bases and will not slide around uncontrollably.

This threshhold only cost me $8.50. Divide that by 4. Very reasonable for flatbed bases.

This is a good idea for those of us who appreciate the value of flatbed strops.... JERRY :)
