If you are in the UK, Steve Dempster at The Invisible Edge will sell you a shave ready Dovo or good vintage blade for less than that. He does a nice range of strops as well.

I think he meant Dovo strop. They work out pricey for the 3". Steve's own strops are beautiful, but it would be criminal to learn on one.
My 1st was a Jemico from the bay. They seem to be the same as the 2" Dovo, with the padded handles. They're a pretty good strop in fact.
The sad thing is they had a beautiful looking, hand made, what appeared to be Latigo vintage strop as part of the window display in Trumpers in excellent condition. At least 3" wide and as long as anyone could ever ask for. Not even a single nick. I'd have happily put £100 cash into the manager's for it there and then but try as I might, they wouldn't sell it to me as "it would have made their window display look bare". :(
I've bought a vintage blade from the Invisible Edge before and was very impressed with it but I didn't know anything about Steve D's strops. Anyone know how they compare to Tony's?
Obviously don't want to take business away from Tony but if Steve's are just as good and I can save on shipping and tax, I'm sure he'd forgive me this time...
Don't worry too much, Belgian citizen! Part of the VAT is spent on Europe. And Europe's capital is Brussels. So your (and my) VAT money gets ploughed back into the Belgian economy! And the Netherlands pays per capita the largest amount of money to the EU. That's one reason why I voted against the EU "constitution".
I took a closer look at that Latigo strop in the window of Tumpers today since there was a different sales assistant and I thought I might try my luck again. Still no luck but I noticed it was one of Tony Miller's own - he must have quite a reputation! The quality really looks great...
