Question about strop...

I just got the SRD Latigo strop and I like the feel of the leather side I finally understand what people mean when they say the "Draw" of the strop, this just feels nice to use.., however instead of linen for the 2nd part of the strop it has what feels like Nylon (Feels like a VERY coarse seat belt in a car)

My question is, is this ok to use on all Razors or are there some that I should keep off this material? (My soon to arrive EXTRA extra hollow grounds for example as they are very thin metal I think.. :) ) Should I get the linen based strop from SRD or is this sufficient?

The polyweb strop is great to use on any razor. Just be prepared for a bit of noise when stropping the extra hollow on it as they can get kind of loud.:)

Thanks, I just wanted to be sure I won't hurt my razors, this web is good for my Dovo, TI and Golderod but wanted to be sure it wouldn't hurt the Gencos :)

The SRD strops are topnotch and well designed. I have them in both versions, with linen and fabric webbing. Good stuff.

As long as the material (any material) is reasonably smooth and non-abrasive you will not damage a razor by stropping on it. Whether it is useful to strop on all reasonably smooth and non abrasive materials is entirely another matter.... :)
