Looking to use a pasted strop - suggestions?
Hi gents,
As the title says, I am in need of a touch up on my razor, but not quite where I need it honed. I had SRD hone it for me about 6-8 months ago, and have only used it a couple times a week.
I am not wanting to get into buying the honing stones just yet, so I am hoping that a good pasted strop will get me by for the next year. Where/what would you recommend using for my first pasted strop? I'm thinking of going the route of the poor man strop kit from whipped-dog, but I want to hear what the community has to say first.
Currently my only strop is a pretty nice Dovo that I am in no way subjecting to paste.
Thanks in advance.
Cheers!
Tony

I'm pretty much in the same boat. I just bought some of the thiers-issard paste looking for something to give a touch up without honing. I did have an extra whipped dog poor man strop that's applied it to. I just started using it, so I don't have any long term information, though I did just try one of my razors on it and it did seem to freshen up the blade quite a bit.

In it I recommend paddle strops over hanging strops but both work.
