We always put the right price on our customs forms. We mark both purchase and gift. we've always emailed the receipts prior to shipping. We don't misrepresent anything We just add a gift to each purchase so that we can honestly mark both purchase and gift on the forms.

Actually a very clever idea! The customs people may very well not be sure what to do if they see gift too and may just let it slide through with reduced or no fees.

Hmm, I may just have to include a free gift as well, maybe a nice little cake of my favorite Wm. Marvy Shave Soap and see what happens.

That's what I started doing. The razor arrived over the weekend without any issues even though the right value was marked on the sticker. The 2 CH samples made it a gift. :nj I think I'll need to start butchering Williams soaps into 4 pieces after I run out of those... The things we do for our customers :thinking:

Edit: Ofcourse I barely started selling and the volume ain't much, but I'll give the system a good try maybe even talk to the people at the post office.

Any time you're including a free strop alongside the purchased one that's a gift right there. All you have to do now is add a small gift to the orders that doesn't have free stuff added to it :)

When I first started dabbling into soap making I took a long square stainless steel tube and lubed it and poured the soap in for the mold. To cut it I placed it on the table saw with a very thin, fine toothed blade reversed and used the guide. Then I started experimenting with other peoples' specialty soaps and would divide it the same way. If you're careful you can get 3 to 4 round disks out of a puck of williams. Watch the fingers though. try this at your own risk.
