Linen/ scrub leather
I have a srp modular strop it came with prem leather and scrub leather and what looks like 2 felt pads.. I treated one with the supplied diamond spray.. I see alot of you guys use linen then leather.. Is using scrub leather then premium leather ok .. And can I use the remaining felt pad as a linen substitute?? The scrub seems aggressive? Or does srd sell a linen pad .. I use the diamond treated one for touchups and a few strokes like 5-10 on treated then 30 on prem to finish one is this ok.. Just until I get my nainwa 12k

Scrub leather is a rough leather .. Almost like suede..

The scrub leather is meant to be used in lieu of the poly webbing, cotton or canvas strop prior to using the smooth leather.
Have fun.

The scrub leather is handy stuff - it offers good retention for most powders and sprays, too.

I have crox on the scrub leather pad. I really like the feel of stropping on it, and prefer it over the felt.
