with my 1st razor I bought TI Bio-Diamond paste because the vendor recommended it to me.
I recently tried it out on a not really shave ready new Boker Edelweiss. It is really a good stuff.
I only have the 1um grid. I can not assume for what the 0.25 grid should be... so my recommendation TI 1um Diamond Paste (red).
For standart refreshing IMHO 1um will do the job. The bigger grids may be good if more steel has to be removed... but as said 0.25um I can not understand (to fine??)

Vintage blades should have some in stock. Or at least yesterday when I checked. All of their razors come shave ready, and I think Lynn hones them.

CrOx on linen. I have two strops, one of which is for the CrOx and the other is clean with no "stuff" on it. Picture may kinda show how I have it pasted. Attachment 130050
Right now my setup after the 16,000 Shapton is CROX on a leather paddle strop. This works just fine but I have on order felt strops of which I will apply Crox spray, and .25 diamond spray just for some more fun and possibly a smoother shave. I have heard that the felt medium works rather consistently across the entire edge where sometimes leather/canvas/balsa can be slightly inconsistent even with proper X strokes. That may be true or not but at least it provides me an excuse for more toys to play with.:rock:
.5 crox and .5 diamond are the same grit but the crox is a little smoother of a finish? does the diamond cut faster?
Yes diamond cuts faster in any grit size because it's made of sharp crystals whereas chromium oxide is comprised of rounded crystals which makes it cut slower. Check this link out for more info :)
