+1 on the roo strop. In one year I've gone through almost ten strops and like the draw on my newest strop the best. Close second as discussed would be the modular paddle strip for all the reasons described!

I got the rooand webbing and the black latigo with hard felt from srd, a narrow dovo with linen and a big daddy. The black latigo is my favorite. Love the heavy draw, but its a personal thing. Im happy with it but I admit when I got a few to do the forearms do get a workout.
I've got the SRD english bridle with linen. After a while it's really gotten a nice feel/draw. I also have the little Dovo with linen and I like the control you have on that thing. Good for a travel strop.
I'm expecting the SRD modular paddle any day now (maybe today?!). Will let you know how I like it!
+1 to the SRD Paddle.
The Bridle leather is great and you get the bonus of being able to change out surfaces for touch up (Diamond, Crox etc.)
Kanayama 3000 is also a nice choice, last I heard Thiers Issard was final preping their razors with this strop.
I've just asked Neil Miller if he can throw a linen or cotton strop onto the back of his basic £20 starter. Really like the £125 bridle that's 3" wide but just spent all our spare cash on others for Christmas. Well almost all, there was enough left over to have my 2 favourites re-honed and 3 others made shave ready. I squeezed the budget to get enough for a half reasonable strop too. Don't tell the wife :)
If you want something different and get the bragging rights too get a Livi Loom Strop. SRD sells them. They come in 3 sizes.
Not sure if you have a Tony Miller, but if you don't, check them out. The Well Shaved Gentleman The Heirloom Razor Strop Company his strops are amazing. He is such a great guy and will work well with you. He gets busy, but they are worth the wait.
Torvald at Scrupleworks is another great stropmaker. I love mine!
