Can't help with the Latino but their 3" English bridle leather strop is superb, and only 5 days to the UK from Canada!
I have the SRD English bridle (Premium IV) strop, and love it. I'd be curious to see how the SRD English bridle compares to the Classic Shaving brand, as well.
I've had the SRD latigo before, alsol. It was a great strop, but I wasn't crazy about the feel of it. Not just the heavy draw. That's why I was interested to see how the Classic Shaving (Mountain Mike) latigo compares.
I don't think you're going to find a great difference between ANY two American-made latigo leather strops.
I'm thinking about cutting my 3" SRD latigo down to 2.5 or 2.25 inches for less draw and i rarely strop "square" to the stropping direction anyhoo-as i learned on 2" stuff.

My point is that if you didn't like the feel of latigo from SRD, they I doubt you'll ever like latigo. Try another leather.
I've tried both latigo's from classic and srd. Both are good but I do prefer srd, I thought it was a little better quality and had a better draw imo. Either way you can't go wrong
Well, I couldn't find much in the way of reviews for the Classic Shaving strops, but I figured that if Classic Shaving had been selling them as their main strop for years, then they must be pretty good.
I went ahead and ordered one last week. I just got it yesterday, so I've only had a chance to give it a quick test, but I really like the Classic Shaving latigo. I got the 3" red with leather handles. It feels really soft. Compared to my favorite SRD strops: it has slightly more draw than the SRD premium 4, but much less draw than the SRD premium 3. It has a nice buttery feel to it. I'll give more info in a couple of weeks after I've had a chance to break it in. It's definitely a keeper.
I had a chance to try out the 2" version of the Classic Shaving strop a couple of years ago. It was really nice, but the draw was very heavy and the leather was really thick. I assume that over the years, the producer must have either changed his leather supply or production method; or maybe there's variation between production batches. Whatever the case may be, the 3" latigo that I got this week is great.
What I didn't like about the SRD latigo wasn't so much the draw, but that it felt kind of hard and less flexible than I liked.Quote:
