My new Westholme Strop! What an absolute beauty. It's a work of art. I haven't stopped smiling since it arrived. My face is starting to ache! :) To be honest, I'm a bit frightened to use it! Thank you Alastair!

Beautiful.
I've been looking at these strops too. I wish he could make a 2.5 inch shell with linen but I understand he is having trouble finding linen that width. I just don't want another 3 inch strop.
Lovely looking strop,well done Wayne.
Hopefully mine should be with me in a few weeks, looking forward to it.
Don't be frightened to use it :nono:
Because the spike point razors, sometimes they scratch badly the surface of the strop, with a narrower one I have more control where the blade is going on the leather, also I love the x strokes, last but not least sometimes the larger (and thicker) strops haven't a so regular surface.
And your able to avoid this with the x stroke ...interesting.
Sorry but my english is not so good, I like the x strokes on the narrower strops. The great advantage of a narrow strop is that the leather hardly bends along the narrow width.
