Just finished these two strops. Have been using a small homemade paddle since day one, and finally got around to make these.

The leather is some scrap from a leather store, veg tanned ox leather is all I know about it. Not a heavy draw, and not super light either, after a little mink oil and lots of hand rubbing. I'm curious about how it will break in with time.
The 'D-rings' are made from 6mm brass. Heated with a gas burner, and bent free hand. Had very little time with the loaned burner, so they are not perfectly equal, nor perfect rectangles. The ends meet snugly under the leather, and are not soldered together.
The linen fabric was four times wider than the strop, with the edges folded in against each other, and then folded once more, and stitched along the edge. This was suggested by edhewitt in the thread http://straightrazorpalace.com/strop...hat-linen.html. The linen strip is then firmly sewn to the leather at the ends, with a little glue in between.
Thanks for looking!
