Beautiful strop. I've been eyeing this as my next purchase. I have heard nothing but good things about tony and his strops. Happy shaving!

Tony goes through phases with his strop making. He makes batches of whatever he feels like or uses whatever leather he has available. I am not in any way disparaging him. I highly recommend his strops but just want any potential buyer to understand that not all of his stock is available all the time.
Be patient!
I have one just like it. To me it's the last word in strops. Love it.
I just got one of these a few weeks back and his site stated that they were sold out. I contacted him to see when he was going to have it back in stock and he said he would make one for me and ship it out. From first email to delivery was about 7 days and well worth the wait! I guess it never hurts to ask and then be patient!
I've had mine for about a year now - Heirloom #3, superb piece of craftsmanship, been palm rubbing it steadily, can tell this one will take a long time to loosen up - hit it last night with a touch of Fromm's Strop Treatment to soften it up some more.
You will not be disappointed, I purchased a Latigo from him many years ago and it is still my preferred daily go-to strop.
I have an SRD IV English B, that I love. So it is going to be a Battle Royale.
Outstanding strop, Hector. You can get years of good use out of it.
I got my TM Heirloom strop 2 years ago. A wonderful piece of work. Nice, light draw. Somebody, hopefully many years from now will inherit it. Should easily perform for at least 2 lifetimes.
Tony's strops are just plain fantastic.
I have barely touched another strop since getting his.
Enjoy it!

Thanks Pete!
Very nice. I've owned a few of Tony's strops and they all were great. Settled on the horse hide and have had it for years now.
Looks solidly built

beautiful strop :)
Great to see Tony has continued making strops! I have had one for years. When I purchased my Latigo he included a high quality "practice strop" that made a wonderful strop for traveling. I have a lot of strops and his are the best.
A beautiful strop fot sure. He creates beautiful product. Take it easy as you learn the stropping techniques. Strongly recommend you practice with a butter knife. It takes time to become proficient so don't rush. Good luck you've got a wonderful strop.
Thanks for the kind words. I have been using it every other day and it is fantastic.
I love my strop from Tony miller. It's my goto strop. I would like to get another one,
C'mon Hrfdez old mate,
As good as the Kanayama #70000 ?, I must say, that the Miller strops do carry with them great reports re their quality, you'll have to let us know.
Cheers Bob
Tony's strops are excellent. As stated earlier, they can be different though. I once had one of his steerhide strops. Great strop. Later replaced it with his "Notovan". Difference in speed was like night and day. Still trying to figure which I prefer.
Am I the only one who has had less than a great experience with Tony Miller?
Yes, he builds a nice strop, with good workmanship, but it's a modular strop. This should be an advantage, and in the case of the SRD strops, it is, because replacement items of differing leathers and secondary components are readily available ... Not so with Mr. Miller.
I bought an Heirloom Latigo years ago, when it was all Tony offered, and he claimed, the best leather for the task. That may have been so for some, but it was not for me. I disliked the Latigo .. The draw was so heavy it could pull a razor from my hand while stropping. So I thought, should I buy another strop, or just buy a different leather component from Tony? It should be no problem for a leather artisan to get another style of leather and cut it to fit, right? WRONG! Mr. Miller dealt in Latigo, period, and was unwilling to supply anything else. So, I licked my wounds and bought an SRD. Stropped away happily while my highly vaunted Tony Miller hung in the closet, where it still resides today!
So yes, Tony Miller makes a nice strop, but not any nicer than a myriad of others. I have many Miller strops here that I love, but they're by Neil Miller, unfortunately passed. A Tony Miller strop is nice, if one never needs service down the road... Because you may, or may not be able to get it!
I am sorry that your experience with Tony was not favorably resolved. I bought my hierloom strop several years ago. It hangs next to my Kanayama 30000 and is used interchangeably. I had an excellent phone call with Tony at the time and I am very pleased with his product. I do experience a difference in the draw between the two strops. But I'll use sandpaper, Ballistol and Renaissance wax on both of them in addition to lots of hand rubbing to maintain each at the peak that suits my purpose.
What's wrong with your two strops that you need to do all that to them to get it right? It's been my experience that a strop from the better suppliers finish their strops before mailing them out to you. Tc
I agree that my experience may not be the norm, and I truly do not wish to take anything away from the Op's happiness with his new aquisition .. I know what it's like to get something new and wish to show it off. I also understand that liking or disliking a particular piece of leather is highly personal.. some folks love Latigo.
My only reason for posting is to show another possible outcome from an Artisan is sometimes in the business, sometimes not.
I sincerely wish the OP many happy years enjoying his new strop.
No worries, no offense taken. Sorry, your experience was a clunker.
I just saw this. When my oldest son and I first got into straights during Christmas of '10, I got him a TM 3" Latigo. It's what I learned to strop on, great piece of gear-enjoy!
