Both my strops shipped out of Hawaii.

I've bought five Kanayama's from Takeshi over the last two or so years, all shipped from his Hawaii base and I think the longest wait was 8 business days, and that is to Australia. In the last six months I've bought three jnats from him and I got one in a week so his shipping is excellent. I on sold one Kanayama and my son scored one so I kept my everyday as the #70000 a back up #80000 and another #70000 in the cupboard as comfort. They are magnificent bits of leather.
Wow man!!! You're my hero!!! Would love to have so many of this pieces of art!!! I only have this 80k and one vintage nichiri pelican 5700 tha i suspect is from the same maker :) which will now become my backup. I have other strops... but this ones.. you gotta love'em!!!

Lots of folk say, 'oh, you don't need so many, ' But, as you say, they are an artisan piece. Old Naomi san, is what 93 years old, and I've not heard of a successor or relative in the wings, should he go to the big barber shop in the sky. I'm actually trying to talk myself into getting another #80000, because enough Kanayama's is never enough....lol
Notwithstanding having just purchased a Livi Loom strop, I'm still considering a Kanayama.
I was looking at the #10000 and also the extra piece of suede but I see the #10000 is out of stock, so it will probably be the #30000 as I would rather get the Suede than the Linen.
The suede is a nice step in the stropping progression in my opinion. I think you'll like it Tony
I visited Tokyo a month ago and brought two strops straight from Naomi-san's hands (Kanayama-maker), #30000 and #80000. Externally, the strops are very similar in thickness, flexibility, gloss, slipperiness. I'm a beginner, without the labeling most likely would not distinguish the strops)))

I have the 90000 Kanayama which I've used for two years. It's a great strop and I've never felt anything quite as smooth as it is. Nothing but positive review for the Kanayama from me. However, I purchased a Livi Loom about a month ago, and I don't think I can go back to the strop. My edges are sharper and the shave smoother on the Loom. Now I don't profess to be an expert in using a strop, so it might be the Livi makes the stroke requirement easier, and I do take my time in using each stroke (although the process is quicker for me on the Loom). This is just my experience; each user may have different results.
