Bagged a really nice Tony Miller strop from eBay. Any advice on how to keep it in top shape?

I just palm rub every now and again when I think of it. So far so good. Lot of good info in this thread here ;

Congratulations! You're going to love that strop.
I've had mine for a year or so. Good advice from JimmyHAD. I palm rub mine 10-15 times every day before using it. That's all I've needed so far.
Enjoy!

+1 to Jimmy's advice. I've had mine for about 6 years now. It has had no treatment other than hand rubbing, and it is in great shape.
Good choice of strop: I am very happy with mine.
Did you get a linen strop with it? Just as an FYI, if you did not and decide to add one later, he'll take care of you. I added linen to mine a few years ago. Just gave him the particulars of the latigo strop, and a linen component that fit perfectly arrived shortly thereafter.
it came with a leather strop, linen strop and a separate practice strop. Only the practice strop looks like it's been used. Worth $125?
forgot. I'm plenty happy and think I at least got a good deal. Leaning towards I got a great deal. Just hope I don't mistreat it and muck it up.
Yes I have some advice, don't cut it in half !
Seriously, I did that with my Miller strop. It was my first strop with hard draw, my first big chopper to strop, I got impatient etc and so forth.
Tony makes a great product. You will have many good years with your newly acquired strop. Just hand rub works for me. Every 6 months or so I'll rub with a damp washcloth. And I'll put a small dab of Renascence wax and rub it into the leather. I've had mine for almost 5 years and it looks and functions just like it got out of the delivery truck. Excellent score.
Treat it with a little Ballistol. That will last a very long time & you can use the Ballistol for so many other things.!
Slawman!
All I've ever done is use my palm to condition mine. It worked great until my grandson, he's 2, decided to fold it and take a bite out of it. Left a crease and some really deep bite marks.
