What is it pasted with?
There are various weaves of microfiber, some work well as a pasted nano -grit strop. The smoother weaves work better than the long thread, towel/cleaning type microfiber.
I use microfiber (the stuff advertised as “glass polishing cloth) as a substrate for all of my nano-powders (CBN and Crox). It has no abrasive properties and the tight weave holds on to the compound very effectively.
I use it on a paddle strop, glued down to craft foam to give it a little “give” in the surface. I also use a clean piece to strop the razor dry before putting it away.

Sounds like the seller does not know what it is. Folks strop on all kinds of abrasives, some work for razors, most don’t.

Well, in order to improve the edge, it has to have some abrasive quality. I would want to know, what that is and what size the abrasive.
There are many good micro abrasives out now, that are proven performers, I would not try something the seller will not tell you what it is.
You could probably get similar performance from sprinkling some Cerium on a piece of foam or microfiber.
Strop an 8k edge and see if it improves it.
Worst that could happen is, you may have to touch up the bevels and edge on a high grit finish stone.
I looked at this type of thing a couple of years a ago, when member Dr Matt showed us his nano-cloth process. I went to the hardware store, bought a car cleaning synthetic 'micro-fibre' thing. I put crox and diamond over them, did 100 on each, got a mirror polished edge. I didn't follow though again, as I found that a stropped 20k edge does me fine. I still use a crox impregnated linen strop, which my razors get every 3 or 4 times I use them.
It kind of looks and sounds like the synthetic strop one of our banned users sells. It gets some good comments, but it is 'pasted' in that folks finally got out of him that it has white buffing compound on it.
I don't use pastes or compounds so I cannot comment from personal experience.

I don't use any compounds either ... Why would I when a few laps on the thigh of my jeans that I'm wearing anyway does so well!
