Gentlemen,
I am going to Tokyo in early November. If anyone knows, can I get Mr Naomi's address. I would love to visit and pick up a strop if possible.
Many thanks.

Good luck! Hope you get to see the master in action!
I would suggest taking as many photos as possible and sharing the entire experience. Good luck!
And I would suggest writing to them first, and making sure that a visit would be welcomed. Old masters can be picky about when people can stop in.
Good luck Rami, hope you get an inside look.
As a point of interest, the apparent shortage of Kanayama's around the globe, isn't going to go for too much longer. Takeshi from AframesTokyo, is out of stock, but has it on good authority that the old master is indeed producing strops to fill orders. word is they are a month away. If you are desperate for one now, JNS have three or four, but at $550 AUD for an #80000 is having himself on. I found Fendrihan to be good, they have the #70,#80, #50 and a few more, The #70 at $235 USD was good value. (Aframes #70 was $188 usd, but they slam you with a $45 US postage, that makes them about $2 cheaper than Fendrihan. (Who send using DHL $19 5-6 days from anywhere in the world.)
Good luck in Tokyo bro
I'll be honest too..... I would do the same thing!
And I am kind of envious of your journey
Any update? I found this and thought it might help, but it's a little late now.

Will keep it short. Me Naomi is a gent and a lovely fellow. Welcomed me and the wife to his home and was very amicable:). We had a few communication difficulties but I managed to make it out with a couple of strops. Very little photos of the time there I am afraid.

I ordered mine from Aframes last week, finally pulled the trigger. It'll be a 70K.

Congrats Rami, mate, that is sensational, have to get a few blokes together one of these days in our part of the world. They are bloody addictive these strops, I've, as they say in Baseball, 'put up a crooked number' on my collection. (You know you are nuts when you have a 'collection' of Kanayama's) I've 2 x #70's a #10(with suede piece) and of course the #80000. But I'd trade one for having met the master himself. Great stuff and good stropping. Bob
i just got my 70k from aframes a couple days ago too. its still in its wrappers in the box. not sure when ill unpack it. might just stare at it. =P
i have a 10k that i use daily with TM d-ring ends that i attached (thanks tony!). i love the strop but found that i hated the natural grip.
enjoy your self Rami
Congratulations Rami, your extremely lucky to have met such a great strop maker.
Check out the local flea markets for razors too, you never know your luck. Google Tokyo flea/antique market and loads of info comes up.
Grats Rami . You'll have to show me when you get back. I'll provide libations :)
I am actually currently living in Japan! Does anyone happen to have an address for Mr. Naomi’s ship?
May be in the ground he’s like 196 years old, almost as old as the thread, but you have a computer, I’m sure it’s on there. But seriously not sure if he’s available anymore, I have a strop he made that’s dated 1946.
