Thankfully I have hooked up with a local mentor(10Pups) only a hop and a skip away. Probably meeting up with for church Sunday. Sounds like I'm going good to go.

Sounds like you're heading in a good direction. My first strop was an SRD red latigo that I used until I stopped nicking it (6 or 8 months) and then bought a replacement panel of English bridle leather from them to replace it (keeping the original handles and secondary - takes less than 5 minutes to swap out). I bought the $5 upgrade to cotton canvas backing, which works great and I prefer to the felt or nylon webbing. Good luck!
For a all in one, I really like the Mastro Livi loom strop. I use a TM strop and fire hose for daily but if I really need to touch it up, I go to the Livi loom with chromium oxide on linen on one side then the skin side. Nothing polishes the edge of a razor like the Livi skin strop.

Got a good finishing Hone? Get a nice strop. One of these is great.

As to cost these are $160 USD, I call using a strop that you have invested in 'Strop dsicipline', when its woreth a few dollars, and is a nice piece you tend to look after it. Just my view.
