Kanayama Cordovan Strop 77 - Japanese Natural Stones
It looks a little thinner and less lustrous maybe. Cant decided if I like the handle or not.
What do you all think?

I don't like the handle. I just love the simplicity of a nicely made barber strop with that lovely stamped seal at the bottom. the handle just looks awkward on this.
I agree the simplicity of Kanayamas and old barbers strops are beautiful and the quality of the leather speaks for itself.
It doesn't appear to be his normal Shell either.
Take the handle off of it and it would make a good short travel strop
JNS site says it's glued to cowhide for a thickness of 3.5mm, so must be a very thin piece of cordovan....
Neil Miller said that for every piece of Horween Shell that he used was 2.5mm. The Shell that Naomi San uses is a lot thicker, 3 to 5mm (probably working horses are used) So yes as its glued to cowhide it must be very thin indeed.
Unless its not Shell....
I saw these listed several years ago and just, never warmed up to the handle
I have seen them as well. Wonder about the usable length. The fabric?
Then, I can sorta see myself using that handle....And then not!
