    Default Kanayama question

I came across this Kanayama. It has the Lama stamp but no number just says super deluxe.
Any clue as to what I have here? Can't find any info on it. Pretty thick by the way.

    Nice!

Never seen one like that before. Does it feel like glass? If its Shell it has probably come from an old working nag. Could be horsehide, either way its a lovely strop.

Thats double or more the thickness of mine, very impressive find.

From your 3rd picture, it looks like an additional strop? If it is a suede component, I would guess it would be similar or the precursor to a 90000 model strop.

Yes the back is suede. I will measure the strop when I get home tonight.

Not the back, but a completely different piece of leather. The higher end ones come with 3 total pieces to strop on

It probably is an 80,000 based on thickness and three pieces included.

It was probably made for a specific vendor to sell as a luxury item. Depending on the length it could also be a 90K.

60cm long. 6 mm thick. The other piece in that third pic is another strop, not part of this one. Interestingly no canvas/linen. Just the main leather and suede.
