The 6-inch loop allows enough flexibility to easily use both sides without fighting the swivel and will put the strop flat at waist height. Just open the door to strop. I keep 2 or 3 strops on the back side of the door hanging from the knob.

The loop is also a great solution for traveling, hang from the bathroom door.
This is a great idea, I might do this until the bathroom shelving is installed (hopefully in the next couple of weeks. It's hard to get much work done on the house with the kids underfoot). Unfortunately, because of the sliding door, the strop can't hang in the bathroom while I'm shaving, so it will probably need to be in the bedroom to keep the strop away from the kids.

My bathroom is upstairs and my strops hand down stairs in the man cave behind the door. I dont see an issue stropping in one room and shaving in another. And with little sticky hands around (better you than me) id put a hook up as high as i could reach in a closet.

I finally was able to hang my strop after putting together some new shelving in the bathroom. The new house is coming together, slowly but surely, and it's starting to feel good. After all, "Home is where you hang your strop", right? That's a saying, right?

Next to the mirror is a piece of unused wall. My stops live there 24/7.
