Deciding between 2 strops

I trying to get the best quality strop for my price range, but not sure how the differences way out between the two strop i could really use some input.

My questions are:
1. Latigo vs horsehide
2. 3" wool felt vs 2" canvas
3. The Heirloom Razor strop Companys "practice strop" vs Ruprazors "The Philly"

They are all quality strops. If you like some drag take the latigo, if you like little drag take horse hide.

I personally have the Paladin. It is buffed so though it is horsehide it has quite a bit of draw. I can tell you that either way you get a great strop.

The problem is you are asking us, which is better, an apple/lime combo or an orange/banana combo. Apple vs orange is personal preference and lime vs banana is personal preference.

It might be easier if you said Tauro (RR's latigo) vs. TM Latigo btu they are still equally good. I personally much prefer horsehide and I LOVE my Paladin and I am quite unimpressed by the latigo strops I have seen/handled/used (and hence haven't bought one) but I can't say what you will love.

I think on the fabric though you might not want to get wool felt as your only strop, it seems pretty rough and is probably really good for pasting but linen/canvas/nylon are the more common daily strops.

Finally the practice strops. TM's is cheaper but RR's is pasted on one side. Once again this is really 6 of one, half dozen of another.

After much agonizing I got the RR Paladin, 3". I also have the Filly. IMO the Paladin is a really nice strop and the D rings let me pull it taught, unlike regular handles and the Filly's "nothing."

The Paladin also came with a pumice stone and a brush, which was a nice touch.

The Filly is a great strop by itself, with a nice draw, but the lack of swivals and a handle don't allow it to lay flat against the razor easily. Also, there is no comparison going from 2" to 3". I would say the Paladin will last me the rest of my life and then some.

BTW, the Filly does come with a pasted back -- nice touch -- and when you graduate it can always be pasted on both sides.
