Hey guys,
I've been thinking about getting a paddle or loom strop...What do you guys think? I'd like something capable of carrying with me when I'm travelling. Any suggestion on what and where to get it from?
thanks!

You should check out the KC Cushion strop, it doubles as an in flight pillow. Get with hi-bud-gl. I have a loom but it's a big-un. I am looking to get a paddle strop for versatility at some point, maybe Christmas.

I traveled for almost 10 years & looking back I would have definately used a paddle. I didn't use a straight then, but traveling really takes it's toll on everything (including the traveler).
I've been doing some reading on loom strops and on SRD' modular strop and they sound pretty interesting.

I thought the loom strops were very pricey? That's what kept me away.
I use the SRD paddle daily and am happy with it. Versatile. It may be a bit big to fly with though, think about the dimensions.
I don't fly a lot, but I take short road trips quite a bit so. I don't mind carrying my hanging strop around, but I don't want it to get damaged
srd paddle is great, go for one of them
Another vote for the SRD modular paddle. With the loom it is more bulky and two components. With the modular it is way more versatile and you get the diamond spray and the chrom-ox, felt and leather, smooth or you can apply an abrasive.
A paddle is cheaper, simpler and more robust. I would vote for that.
I have the SRD modular paddle as well, and I'm very happy with it. I use it for my everyday strop, and it fits nicely in a suitcase for travel. Never tried a loom strop, so I can't comment on that.
