Help Selecting a New Strop

Hi Group,

I'm looking to buy a new strop and have been looking at the new SRD Horse Hide strop or the SRF Premium I strop. I already have the SRD Premium IV Bridle Leather Strop.

Any thoughts?

It depending what you are looking to get out of it. If you want a different experience I'd go for the horse. I have one and it's a very nice strop a little stiff when new but breaks in great. Result wise I think they are all the same.

Get a kanayama 30k or one of ambrose's strops

Any particular reason why you want a new strop? A case of SAD kicking in? :)

Haha - no, not really. I just came up with some money my mom and dad gave me for Christmas, and since I already have 86 razors, I thought about a horsehide strop since they are on sale at SRD and I probably won't buy one otherwise.

Yeah, I know, but I don't have that kind of change lying around. But maybe a future purchase. Thanks.

Ambrose's strops are right in line with with all other strop prices.
