I am new to straights, having just purchased two vintage razors from reputable sources that should hopefully arrive later this week. I also purchased a Filly strop from ruprazor as my first/sacrificial strop to learn proper technique with. At some point I'd certainly like to have a high quality strop, once I am past the oft mentioned noob strop mangler phase of my learning. I have a fair quantity of Horween shell Cordovan that I use mostly for making shooting tabs for archery and it is my understanding that this is the ne plus ultra of strop material. I'd like some tips and designs for fashioning my own strop. Any tips and trick most appreciated.
