Way to go Burt!!!! Great job! Do you hold both cotton and Nubuck together when you strop? I do with my dual setup.

Thanks Vern,
No I actually let the one hang below when I use the other strop. I've always used my dual strops like that. Do you find that you have better handling of the strop, or technique when you hold onto both strops at the same time? If so, I might just give it a try.
I've done it both ways, but when I hold them together, tight, I like the feeling of the thickness and support. The leather gives the wool felt more support and vice-a-versa. Felt better. LOL
Sounds like it's worth a try. Having the leather as a "backing" for my cotton weave might make it feel a little more like a bench strop, so I'll give it a go. Thanks for the tips on how you do it, it's always interesting to hear how others do things, and often there are better ways of "skinning a cat" than what we realise!
Thanks Vern.
I have been thinking about making a back-up strop, but am not sure what kind of cotton to use. Any help would be appreciated.
I know I'm still new here, but is it normal to drool over that even at this early stage of the game?
I will look. Thanks for the info.
