Medal of Award ROZOR strop #835

I just picked up a new strop from fleabay, I had seen some others of this brand posted on here before, it looks like it's in good condition and for the price I hope it performs well. :)

Does anyone have any experience with this model? my only other strop is pretty bad shape, so this has to be an improvement.

Man, wish I had a ROZOR strop. Sounds so much cooler than razor. LOL.

Hard to tell from the pictures. It's a matter of what condition the surface is in. It doesn't look bad.

Oh crap, I was giggling when I was typing rozor and goofed that up, can any mods fix it so that future searches are correct? That's why I like to put the name in the title, as I myself am always doing searches for items.

Edit don't fix Rozor, that was intentional.

I have the same one, its one of my two "go to" strops.. The canvas on mine is a little stiff and im not sure it does any good, so I use my other strop's canvas instead when required.
Decent price if its in good shape!

Thank you EPD for the info, I was hoping it might be a decent one to use, and not the el' Cheopo of 40 years ago.(or how ever old it is)

I received my Medal of Award strop today in the mail, I am very pleased, I would say it was like new, other than a few scratches in the leather, that look like a finger nail, or something.

it WAS like new, as my first time using it I nicked it, man I feel stupid. lucky it wasn't a bad nick. but still.......
Also I really like the linen side, it feels much better than my other old junkie strop I have been using.

Overall the strop has a nice draw to it, (keep in mind I have never owned a top quality version, so I have nothing to compare to other than everything all you have said.)

I'm pretty sure it's an Illinois strop. They had/have a lot of models, and all are good strops. As long as the leather is still good, which it sounds like it is, you'll be fine.
