My TM strop is the only one I've used in the passed 4.5-5 years, I have never seem a rain to get another one. It is such a solid product and feels like it will last forever, oh and no nicks at all on it lol,

I have a horsehide one (old traditional) that I really like and another special request one on the way. I wanted a dual steer hide one to use with pastes (he proposed one grade down to safe some money because they are to be pasted). I'm sure I will be very happy with it. I tried some other strops and TM ones are my favorite. But I suppose it's like with razors, what I like is not necessarily what another will like.
Where can one purchase a Tony Miller?
Here is a link to his page.......
http://shop.thewellshavedgentleman.com/
How does his strops compare to SRD strops?
Tsunami, SRD has an excellent selection of strops at very reasonable prices. They also offer a great variety
of strop materials to choose from. SRD, TM or a few other maker's strops, given the same materials, are all going to get the job done nicely.
Thanks. I was looking at their English Bridal but with a felt rather than the webbing
If I had to choose a SRD strop it would be the SRD IV, really like that one (there modular paddle is also a work of art). But again it's hard to predict what you or anyone else will like. I'm lucky because often when I meet other shavers I can try out some materials without actually having to buy them first.
I am currently looking for a new strop. I am a noob but have been practicing for about 3 months now. I figure it was time to invest in a good strop. I have heard only good things about Tony Miller strops. If someone could direct me to a website I would appreciate it. I am looking for a horse hide strop since from what I have read that seems to get the best reviews.
