Ever have this happen? (lost strop nut)

I have what I would call a nice strop. I have had it several months and feel that it is nicely broken in and it works very much to my liking.

However, last night (and about a week ago) I noticed that one of the nuts was gone from the strop. Normally there are three (Chicago screw style) fasteners on both ends of the strop. A week ago one fell out while I was stropping...so I picked it up and re-installed it (and checked all the others to make sure they were at least hand tight). Last night I noticed a different one had fallen out completely and was lost. I again checked all the others to find 4 of the remaining 4 were quite loose.

I guess I could put some thread locker on these, but I would like to be able to change the panels should I ever need to...anyone have a suggestion? Anyone else ever deal with this?

I've had it a few times, I just put them back, thread lock or super glue on the threads would probably do the trick.

Im assuming these are Brass more then likely, i would hand tighten all of them then take a washcloth over the brass nut and gives all of them half turn with pliers.

At work I use a low grade vinyl glue to hold veneers or crowns on, some like to fall off easily.

I'm betting that a drop of pva (Elmers) type glue in the threads, then tightened up, would hold them well enough to keep them from loosening, but still allow you to unscrew them when you want.

Use the Blue tread Lock and not the Red........
