I was crazy enough to strop on my hand to granted I went really slow as I have seen a video were master livi stropped on his hand and he is pretty quick

Are we sure he isn't using a barbers hone? I'm not trying to discount that chap's manliness, but I just want to cover all the bases before I go accepting what's in front of me. ;)
Nothing special about it, it works fine.
I usually strop on my hand in between different stones to get the false edge of, you can sometimes feel it coming off in you palm.
You can even use the palm as a pasted stop if you put some slurry on it.
In Iwasakis paper on honing he suggest stropping on your palm too.
That's nothing. Where I come from they strop using their tongue.
