Vintage strop
Hi,
I recently picked this strop up at a vintage shop in Brittany.
The leather conditioner look like good, the canvas as well, but I don't want to ruin a razor on a strop that isn't up to snuff.
Do you know this trade mark?
Do you know how cleaning this strop for a new life?
Thanks to everyone for your help!

I'm not an expert, but it looks to be in a lot better shape than my vintage strop (which works well enough for me), so it should be just fine.

yep it looks great. If it's dirty some quality leather cleaner and if it's dry a tad of neatsfoot or conditioner like Bic.
I never heard of the maker however there were a small number of strop makers back in the day and many made strops under different names. Strop outfits were specialty makers. Some were belting outfits and it was a sideline and some only made strops.

Thank you,
After cleaning and drying the strop is looking good.
There's only one problem, the strop was obviously folded in two at some point, and so there is a "bend" in the middle.

For what it's worth, my favorite strop is a ratty old vintage Ace High. The leather had some nicks along one side and the canvas is fraying on the edges. I have a couple nicer looking ones, but I keep coming back to this one for the best shaves.
