Neil Miller Napped Cowhide
Ordered a new strop from Neil Miller strop-shop co uk last week and it came today. 3" napped cowhide with real linen. Neil has an English leather company that's willing to supply him with natural leather with none of the waxes or dyes used to turn this leather into English bridle. He describes it as the natural color, lightly milled and having a nap similar to peach fuzz, velvety. It feels, to me, a little like suede. The leather measures 5/16" thick, by my eye using a metal ruler.
Anyway, I've wanted a strop for awhile without the finishes, and I really like this one. He describes the draw as fast and light. I'm used to Roo and SRD Premium I, light draws, so this one feels a little more medium to me, but that may just be me being used to very little draw. Looks good hanging next to one of his Shell Cordovan strops too!! They are quality strops as is his craftsmanship, and it shows. :D
Regards,
Howard :)
