I dunno, has anyone gone through the elaborate prep as shown and then used a cart for comparison? I have not so really can't call BS on that personally.

Just think of it as 5 little straight razors trapped in plastic....did that make it any better?
I'll probably get slammed for this, but quite awhile back I tried my old Fusion out again and was surprised. It's amazing after using DE's and straights for a few years what you learn and can apply to using these modern face scrappers. The results when I tried this were better then the typical results I had gotten in the past. Still love using my old stuff though just to clarify ;)
Why would it take so long if he's just using a cartridge razor? Can do that with a Shower plus in 5mins?
The comment he made about not falling asleep in the chair with a straight razor is total B.S. or I am the exception. I spent 3-1/2 months in Turkey and would travel to the former Eastern block countries on days off. I would stop by a shop every 3 days and get a shave that cost me about 1.50 USD with tip, I fell asleep several times. In many shops they would even clean the inside of your ears along with a massage of the shoulders, neck and face. It all breaks down to comfort & trust.
Trust there is another thing to take into account. I had rather have some of the members on this forum shave me with a straight razor using dish washing soap than some bimbo making waitress wages and tips in a hipsters, over priced shop so I can walk down memory lane about pro glides and track 2 razors.
