Here is a video I finished this week, it took me about a year to make. I kept getting disgusted with it, then would pick up the camera again and do a little bit more.

It is definitely worth the minutes spent watching it. I found it yesterday and took the time also to see a couple of other Charley videos. They give a good picture, minus hype, of the making of razors.
Thank you Charley!

Lovely work as usual. Thanks for sharing your process. The idea of using an old drill chuck for a pinning base is precious, you don't know how many pins I've bent. I will only bend half as many now:aargh: I love watching your videos you always come up with new methods and its very educational. Thanks.
Great work. I think I've watched all of your videos more then once.
Nice job, Charlie! I can see where it would take a year to make.
It would take me several months to be able to calmly say 'It cracked so I made another' or 'I ground through it so I made another'!
Just kidding, though. You are a talented cool cat! :nj
Fantastic and informative video Charlie. I have to wipe up the drool after seeing the finished razor.
It stinks that one cracked, but well worth the extra effort.
Virtually stunning!!

Thoroughly enjoyed that! One thing that I got out of that is sometimes things happen and that what you see may only be the product of several attempts. We generally do not get to see the ones that fail.

Very nice Charlie, thank you sir for your presentation. I like how you texture your handle material. What is you favorite part of the process, hammer work, grinding and shaping, final finish?
Mike
Yes I can understand that. I keep waiting for the "Forged in Fire" episode where the final test is to make a razor. Then have the judges shave test it!!
