Managed to break two pairs of scales before 7:00 AM today. 1 vulcanite, 1 celluloid. I wonder if this is possibly a SRP record, certainly my personal best.
Time for more coffee, it's just too early for bourbon. Maybe.

My sympathies stimpy52. Rough morning. Thins could only get better. Just curious, did you tried another razor or said not today?

I suggest this drink. It has tea and orange juice in it so it is over qualified as a breakfast drink.
3 oz Schnapps
3 oz rum
6 oz water
Juice from one orange
1 tea bag (black)
Preparation:
Heat ingredients together in a saucepan until boiling. Let simmer for 5 minutes, and serve. Sugar to taste.
I had a morning like that a while ago. One of the scales I broke was from a pair. I hear your pain.
I busted two scales and cracked one hard to find blade in single day, but not before 0700 - you may have a record there! Sounds like a good time to walk away and dive into something that won't break. …alcohol does sounds safer at this point - but only if you lock the door to your shop. I've come up with some really interesting ideas after a few fingers of scotch, only to find that the idea looked a lot better on paper (or in my head) - it seems scotch and my workshop don't mix well.
Sorry to hear about that!
But a record? nah, not even close!
A couple years back I decided to het a cordless Dremel to do a little final polishing and what not on a few NOS razors of very reputable brands.
Let's just say they are now all part of my "horror cabinet" for major no-no's in restoration...
Workshop + 2 Fingers of Bourbon = 2 fingers of band-aides
