Adjustable Pins

Thats cool,maybe down the road you will learn how.My point is, taking a vintage blade and modifying the pivot to accept an adjustable system is just not right,easy enough to do for sure and the damage can be reversed by bushing,I just have an aversion to adjustable pins on anything other than customs,JMO

I like the conventional pinning on two piece scales, but on one piece I like that big pivot pin to offset the absence of the bottom pin. I'm also looking forward to trying out the action of the blade with the big pin. I don't have a Livi or a Zowada yet so I don't know what it feels like:(

Hart steel has them rdy for razors and knifekits has them as well

I guess I'll just have to make a custom:)

I really don't want to modify the blade of a vintage blade, I just really like the look of the adjustable pins. Since this is for a FW Engels 5/8, I don't think they'll look right. If I get a big fat WB or something and I can get a small enough adjustable pin that won't require modifying the pivot, then I might go for it. Otherwise, I'll stick to conventional pinning.

Also, pixelfixed, I never got around to saying how great those loom strops you made looked. I'm going to have to give that a go somday!
