Default Little Shop of (Razor) Horrors Thread

I thought I recalled a thread that went something along those lines but can't find it. I really wanted to start this with "Lot of 3 razors. Highly collectable. Some pits and minor chipping along the edge but a great addition to any collection". Oh, I guess I did anyway...

So, while I may be the first and only to show off screw-ups, here's a pic of a few blades I wrecked a few years ago as I started restorations. I saved them for various reasons. One is because the DD scales are pretty nice and I'm waiting for that perfect DD for it. The colorful Solingen had it's toe ripped off but it may be tough to see. I keep that one because I just can't stand the idea of tossing that blade. The Hamburg Ring has a home in my shop because it's just so horrible. Oh the horror!!! All 3 are Dremmel "fails" and rarely have I picked up a Dremmel for about 4 years now because of it.

Also, the G10/tortoise scales at the bottom are a current project, not yet a screw-up. The set you can see will house a W&B frame back I think - at least that's what I drilled the holes for. They may wind up as a "before" picture yet...

It's a shame when that happens.
The DD is a DARN SHAME! Wonderedge no less...
Round the toe on the Solingen and you will have 1 good one out of the three!

Worse case... you have 3 nice spaces for when you are fitting the wedge for pinning.

In ebay terms that's just minor chipping along the edge... :-) Yah I should just hone the ring down to about 4/8 and dump it. The duck might be a loss ....

I'll get you some brass made that says " Wonderwheretheedgewent" Might fit on those scales :<0)
Heck if you just take those stabilizers down to match you could have a rare 2/8 Duck. May go for 500 if you talk it up some.
Or it could be proof of what happens when you use tape for a loooong period of time.

This is what happens when people use razors as screwdrivers.
    We need a crying smiley.
The white gleam of swords, not the black ink of books, clears doubts and uncertainties and bleak outlooks.

It wasn't much thicker when I bought it! I just managed to destroy what was left. Man the things I did with a Dremmel...
