What can be done with this Boker?

I came across this recently, I don't think it's ever been used as it still has the gold wash on it. However it looks in pretty bad shape, any suggestions?

Also to get a specific shape for the gold wash paint the blade around the area you want to wash with wax. There are also videos on YouTube on how to do this as well.

If that's in bad shape then You've never seen a razor in bad shape- that blade look like it can easily be restored to almost like new condition.

If you are not concerned about the gold on the blade, I would go over the whole thing with Blue Magic metal polish. You can also get the finest synthetic steel wool and use that with Blue Magic polish, then the polish by itself with cloth

That blade looks like a DREAM compared to some I have seen!
Sand it up and polish it!

No man, its in bad shape. Therefore I really believe you should send it to me, I'll pay shipping....LOL!

But seriously, she looks good to me. I have picked razors up that looked a lot worse after cleaning. I wouldn't worry about cleaning the rust on the tang if that is where the gold wash is but if you do decide to take care as before mentioned by the other members. Just clean up the blade, hone her up and enjoy. Bokers are some of the finest shavers out there and well known for their 'Buttery Smooth' shave.

lol! That razor is aesthetically nicer than about 20% of the ones I shave with. :)

A little metal polish will do wonders on that.

Do pay attention to the edge where the black bits are though. If there's crumbly steel or other things (I had a small crack in the edge under the black stuff once) it will be most likely there.
