I'm looking for an easy and convenient way to etch my mark into knives and razors. Currently I use a dremel or a chisel to manually create my mark. While this rustic look can be excused for makers marks, I have a project coming up which is in need of etching some text onto the blade. And that I would like to look more stylish.
Any tips about what would be a good solution?
When Robert Williams was discussing doing the etched logo for the SRP limited edition he's been making he told me that he would design a font and that he would then send it to an establishment that would make a 'mask' or template that he would use to create the acid etching ......... IIRC ........ you might shoot him a PM and ask him about it. :gl:
If you search on YouTube you can find videos for DIY etching. Everything from nail polish and car battery chargers to professional stencils and commercial etchers.
