handle loose

Question: If I have a razor with scales, put together with pins and its a bit loose, can it be tightened up by hitting the pin with a ball peen hammer?

Well tapping more than hitting, but you might find a big hammer is a touch on the heavy side, you want something more like a craft hammer, or even a spoon

I use a 4oz ball peen hammer on pins. Remember that you want to use light taps. Using too much pressure can crack the scales.

So my small sledge might be too much?
