Thank you for your kind words. I felt likewise and don't regret the labor involved - I am not in a hurry to do it again, however! I honestly don't know, I had hoped there might be a suggestion by a viewing forum member, but alas. It is hand forged and was excavated in England, so with absence of any maker's signature and the shape, an educated guess would be pre-industrial revolution: 16th - 18th century would be about as far as I'd wish to guess. This guess is more hollow and vacuous than tabloid journalism, so it should not be taken as scripture by any means. Should anybody have any further details, I would be much indebted if you could share it. :)Quote:
