What to buy for Maintenance and Minor Repairs

I got an email notification this morning that my order had shipped as-is.

But(!!), I just received a call from Don @ SRD saying that he had stopped my shipment from going out, and could add the DMT to my order. I called him back immediately and got it done! Excellent! I am very pleased and excited. Kudos to SRD!

Yes! I plan on giving them some business soon!

I too plan on giving them some more business soon, by way of father's day, my wife & kids, and my credit card... :D

And now for the icing on the cake: my stones just arrived, on a Saturday, and just two days after I made a late change to my order. And these things were obviously packaged with a lot of care. I am blown away at the level of customer service provided by Straight Razor Designs. In me they have gained a customer for life. Very well done, gentlemen. Thank you!

Hey Scott.

I'm just going to address this part of your post. Alot of us are deathly afraid of dinging our razors. I, personally, use a different method which keeps me clear of the sink or the faucet. I've got a large sponge I use to while off used lather.

This also helps me keep water out of the pins and scales, so less cleanup for me.

Just saw you pic. Very nice. You will be *very* happy with how new guy friendly they seem to be. I'm pretty new to it all as well and with a basic monkey-see, monkey-do approach with watching Lynn and glen's vids, I began the journey.

Of course, then there's the exception to the rule. Honing is easy, until it isn't. ;)

Part 1 I use the back of my forearm on what is predominantly my off hand. This is after watching so many barber videos.

ummmm That DMT works much easier in a stone holder. Just so you know what to ask for on fathers day :<0)
