I searched the forum and am probably being over cautious. I traded for a Boker Edelweiss, it has an etching and frost on one side of the blade. What kind of polish can I use on this and not fear taking it off? TIA

Short answer is that there is no polish that I know of that will not degrade the etching/frost on your Edelweiss. You can try masking it off with painters tape and carefully polish around it. Somebody also suggested nail polish for masking but I have not tried that. That should be a very nice shaver for you all honed up.

I use this product on this type of blade. Not abrasive, cleans and brightens etches, goldwash. Have not had it remove anything except grime and light tarnish!
