A kind of safety net that is universal and adaptable to most sinks. You could attach it to porcelain or marble or any stickable sink surface using suction cups fused into the the edge of the net. It would be stretchable, or drawstring adjustable,...... but not enough to affect the suction cup grip on the surface.
And it would have little fish netting that would allow water and cream to pass through but not a dropped straight razor.
And it would be constructed out of cut resistant fabric.
Or, better yet, a more simple construction. How about a thick, rigid piece of sterile cushiony or spongy rubber with drainage holes. And one that could simply span most sinks, but have a deeper depression in it to facilitate drainage.
Or maybe just a thick, soft, and universal entire lining system meant to prevent damage to accidentally dropped, expensive or collectible straight razors. This one could be set down to rest in the basin of most sinks, rather than across the top.
Something like that bearing a catchy trademark would be cool.
I think a device like that would be useful to a new user like me. I might go to the craft store and see if I can actually make one. If anyone else here is a good craftsman I would like to see what they could come up with.
As far as the C MON...I did see some examples on e bay. Some are new old stock still wrapped in cellophane. I did see two identical models to the one I have that are being bidded on as well.
