I've been shaving for about a month with brand new Boker Edelveiss and about a week ago noticed the blade has become dark and a few tiny scratches.
i did the usual routine: canvas/ leather stropping, carefully wipe out after the shave, a but of leather stropping, and back into the box.
does any body know what it is?

So you assume it's rust? I've taken it to the local sharpener today to show him the blade. The guy is quite old and apparently experienced but not very bright: he's removed the darkness, without my permission removed also the Boker writing on the blade and said"it's some kind of chemical" (?). Needless to say I didn't use any chemicals. Sent an email to Boker, maybe they can explain.
And yes, I dried in between the scales

Only white stains instead of dark ones...
OP. Did you use an alum block or stiptic pencil? My understanding is that they can stain a blade.
Also are the scratches running in the same direction that you wipe the blade? Any little piece of grit on a towel can scratch and it really stands out on a nice new blade.
The same stains are also on my Ralpf Aust brand new blade: apparently I didn't wipe them properly and kept in the bathroom. Now I need to get rid of these stains.
