It's amazing that something in plastics can do that to carbon steel. :(

And as far as most of us know the only cure for cell rot is early detection and unpin the razor and throw the infected scales away.
Wow...Agreed. Amazing the amount of damage from plastic.
The damage is more from the nitric or acetic acid that was used in making the plastic :)
That is an amazing image...and scary too! One more example of why I avoid cell scales on razors and knives.
