Good news: The chip is almost completely gone. Used the 1000 stone at a pretty aggressive angle and then taped the spine and ran it over the 1000 to get the bevel right. I can still see a little shadow of the chip but I think after I go through the 5k, 8k, and 12k stones then the coticule for a stroke or two and the strop, it should be a distant memory and a thread on srp. We will see. It was not as bad as I thought.
No, fully remove it on the 1k.
Do high angle strokes on the 1k until it is almost gone, then tape the spine as you did and hone it completely out.
Completely re-set the bevel on the 1, or you will fight the bevel all the way and still probably have to drop back down to the 1k or spend a lot of time on the 5k.

Here is a good video on checking for a fully set bevel, you will want to check the area of the chip especially and go just a bit deeper to get to good steel.
Any reflection, no matter how small, is an indication, the bevel is not yet fully set.

Euclid440- This razor is there, the bevel is set the chip is gone. I checked with every flavor of light that I have and there are no flat spots. I also did the pin test and the pin drips off the edge on both sides across the entire length of the blade. Great video btw. I think it is time to run it through the hone progression. Didn't quiet pass the hanging hair test but it just came off the 1k.
When you have done hair test in the past, does a razor catch or cut a hair easily?
If so, try stropping on leather 15-20 laps and see if it will cut or catch hair. I don’t cut hair just look to catch arm hair, test the toe. Middle and heel.
If it still will not cut hair at the 3 position, lightly joint the edge, one light dragging stroke on the corner of the 1k and re-set the bevel with light pressure laps. It should not take too much to bring the bevels together, the edge will be a lot straighter as well.
