Customizing a GD.

I got a Gold Dollar given to me after it had the shoulder fixed and was honed up nicely. I've used it twice and its a good shave but...
I'd like to take the printing on the blade off, change the tip to a different shape and cut the shoulder out of it and make a custom shape. And of course replace the scales. So what/how do you cut and grind on a blade to take out a good chunk of metal? I was thinking of using a round shaped sander tool but don't know if it would work. Maybe some/a lot of filling? How do you cut these things? Being a GD I figure it might not be as hard of steal but I bet its still very hard stuff.

Thanks for any instruction on customizing/cutting/grinding on this blade.

Acetone will remove the printing or nail-polish remover.

Well there is always the 'Dreaded Dremel' if you go that route, please good PPE! If you wanted to remove the stabilizer you could use your new benchtop belt sander/both will require plenty of water for cooling.

You could also pick up another GD and have a go at making one of these:

So sander will chew away the steal? OK, and the dremmel. I just wasn't sure how to go about it. Now at least I got some ideas. Thanks Roy.
BTW, Don't think I'll be making one of those double bladed razors. Although, I do have two ZY Razors. Cut off the tails and its ready. Not!

Still having an issue honing up one razor. Spent way too many hours on it now. I'm afraid I'll have to send it out for a pro to deal with. Bummer too as its one I restored and I really like to finish what I started.
