A camel in the desert
Hello,
one of my last projects. The blade are a beautiful etched "Imperial Razor" from Germany. The scales are from zebrano wood, that are poished with CCL-Oil. This Oil is really expensive, but especially made for knifehandles. But it worth its price.
I think its a form of shellac, but it dry very fast and is more resistant against water, than pure shellac. Also it is harder than shellac. The wood is more shiny and a little bit "holographic". And it has not that "plastic feeling" like CA.

The pins and the wedge are from "German Silver". The middle tube and the blade bearings are brass.

My taste is for classical scales but these are excellent with the oriental engraving of the razor.
I like it!
By the way I like CCI products (the kit for oil finishing walnut gunstocks is very good)

Thank you all for the positive feedback.

I see manyware is selling this razor. You're not Manfred, are you?

No I´m not. But we are testing now the posibillity of a "joint venture". He has many very rare and beautifull Razors and I can make some interessting scales for some of them. I think, in the future he will sell some straight razors with custom scales again ;)
